I Connected Claude to My Strata Business. Here's What Happened in a Week.
One week with AI wired into my whole strata business changed what I thought "safe" work even meant.
At coffee shops and conferences everywhere, you hear it said. AI this. AI that. And then comes but. 'BUT AI will never do 'X'.
In this new chat, you can safely assume that 'X' is a skill possessed by the person making the statement and is important to their self-worth and / or financial security. Fair enough, such statements are a form of denial, and we use denial as a way of catching our breath before moving onto other emotions that mercifully, finally, deliver us to acceptance.
There are plenty of people in strata who say 'but AI will never do X'. I'm not one. Last week I wrote about the future of strata in a post AI world shifting us from commodity and procedural work leaving fewer of us better paid and happier doing grey hair and rocket science work. This week I think a lot of grey hair work will go too.

What's changed for me in just a week? I've had Claude connected to my strata software, OneDrive, my suite of SOPs 'Strata Operating Procedures' and templates, and the strata management laws where I'm working. The speed at which I'm getting through my work is frightening. No more flicking between platforms, folders, and checking the cheat sheets for cryptic notes that mean something only to me.

The quality of the communication pieces that I'm creating is some of the best work I've ever done. But it's more than speed and quality of communications. It's the sheer intelligence of the machine itself. It's now pushing me, linking threads of my work and life together to make the client experience, and therefore mine, infinitely better than it has ever been.
Strata in a post AI world will still be messy. There will still be defects, dramas, and deadlines. People will come and go and clients will too, but for those of us left standing, a well-oiled machine that never sleeps or forgets will give us wings.
So next time someone in strata says to you 'but AI willnever do X', take note. That person is not your competitor, and their chat is holding you back.
