Significant Support for Termination of Agreements Without Cause

Short-term strata management agreements with termination options are gaining unexpected support. We're exploring the pros and cons of this approach.

Our inbox has been pinging away this week with support for last week’s suggestion for a new standard form strata management agreement. What’s been surprising however, is the level of support for short form agreements with strata owners able to terminate before the end of yearly terms if they want to go elsewhere. It seems enlightened practitioners outside SCA have been providing this choice for some time and their world has not fallen off its axis. We will be researching this further to determine the pros and cons of this option. Stay tuned.
